Swift return to duty for our junior clubs

It's a goal mouth scramble as Glenrothes face Kennoway.

Two clubs are back out on duty with Glenrothes and Kennoway Star Hearts continuing their Premier League campaigns.

At the weekend the two sides met at Star’s Treaton Park, with Alex Davidson’s side coming out on top with a fine 6-3 victory.

They’ll aim to build on that win tonight, but have been handed a tough assignment.

Davidson takes his squad north to face Ian Barret’s pre-season title favourites St Andrews United at Barnetts Park.

Glenrothes will aim to recover from their opening day defeat when they travel into the Wee County to face Sauchie.

Like St Andrews, Sauchie are aiming to bounce straight back up a division following last season’s relegation from the Super League.

Thornton are without a midweek game and have to wait until Saturday to build on their 3-0 win over Coupar Angus in the North Division.

They play host to Lochee Harp.

Also at the weekend Kennoway Star Hearts and Glenrothes are on their travels again.

It’s Kennoway’s turn to visit Sauchie on Saturday while Glens make the journey to Bathgate Thistle.

Both the area’s Premier League sides, Kennoway and Glenrothes, will have their repsective seasons disrupted following Falkirk Juniors folding. The league continues with 15 teams.
