Forfar Albion........................1

Tayport extended their winning run to four games but had to come from behind to see off visiting Forfar Albion in last weekend’s East of Scotland Cup tie.

Albion, who play in the bottom tier of the East Region set-up, opened the scoring after quarter of an hour, when Ryan Anderson beat Gavin Sorley with a side-footed lob over the stranded ‘keeper.

Marc Ogg and Alan Tulleth were both thwarted at the near post, as ‘Port pushed for an equaliser.

On 27 minutes, they levelled the tie.

Tulleth cushioned a high ball into the path of Daniel Sanchez and he sent a cool finish beyond the Albion ‘keeper from15 yards.

The Canniepairt outfit upped a gear in the second half and created numerous chances before finally taking the lead on the hour mark. Stuart Walton delivered a fine ball for Alan Tulleth, who raced away and tucked his shot into the far corner of the net.

There was a narrow escape at the other end with former Tayport player Owen McCabe prodding wide from a couple of yards out.
