The Fifers know just one win is all that separates them and the League Two championship, and the first opportunity to grab it comes at Broadwood at the weekend.

A seven point gap was opened up between East Fife and Annan and Clyde who both sit on 53 points.

Supporters can be forgiven for dreaming of a title party, but boss Gary Naysmith insists there’s still a job to be done against a Clyde side which has plenty left to play for.

The Bayview gaffer says there will be absolutely no talk, or preparation for, any title party until the championship is sewn up.

Speaking to the Mail on Monday, he said: “Barry (Ferguson, Clyde manager) will be saying to his players that if they win then that’s it back down to four points and you never know what could happen.

“They also don’t want any club to be having a title party on their pitch.

“As well as all that they need to win to make sure they stay in the play-offs - so there’s a lot to play for.

We’ll prepare for it during the week like we have every other game.

“Nothing will change.

“We’ll be working on our shape on Thursday and all the travelling to the game will be the same.

“We have to focus on the job.”

The manager has a clean bill of health with Ross Brown expected to return to the starting XI.

“I know my side already for Saturday,” said the manager.

“Baring any injuries, I know who I’m going with.”
