Thornton Hibs 5-0 Newburgh
It was an impressive performance from the Hibs who did more than enough to keep a Newburgh side, which has improved this campaign, at bay.
Chris Ireland gave the Hibs a 23rd minute lead with Garry Thomson’s volley making it two shortly after.

Hide AdBy the the half hour mark it was all over bar the shouting as Max Coleman’s terrific free-kick flashed beyond Gavin Wilson.
Just before half-time, Ireland netted from the penalty spot after the ‘Burgh goalkeeper brought down Shaun Keatings.
That there was only one goal in the second-half – Ewan Henderson scored with two minutes remaining – was down to sloppy finishing by the men in green although Wilson should also be credited for making some good saves to keep the scoreline respectable.
