Thornton Hibs move up the table after crushing Lochore Welfare
Thornton moved up to fourth place in the South Superleague following this 4-0 win over Lochore Welfare – a victory that maybe wasn’t just as convincing as the scoreline would suggest.
The visitors had plenty of possession but found the Hibs rearguard just too strong to break down.

Ricki Cooper made it two in the 63rd minute with a terrific strike from outside the penalty area and five minutes later Daniel McNab found the net following clever work from Chris Ireland.
Andy Warrender had only one save of note to make and it was a beauty as he diverted Jamie McNeish’s effort wide for a fruitless corner kick.
With one minute remaining good play from Raymond Crichton afforded Chris Ireland the opportunity to complete the scoring from 12 yards.
