United set for trip to Super League side

St Andrews United are in DJ Laing Cup action this weekend.

In common with several other East Premier League fixtures, St Andrews' weekend trip to fellow relegation battlers Dundee Violet was called off.

This was a source of frustration for Craig Morrison’s men who were aiming to kick some clear daylight between themselves and the clubs at the bottom end of the table.

And Saints won’t have the opportunity to get some much needed points on the board this weekend due to them being in D J Laing East of Scotland Cup action.

Morrison will take his side to the Super League club who, like Saints, are struggling at the wrong end of their division.

United will have new signing from Dundonald Bluebell Derek Wallace available for the game which kicks off at 2.30pm.
