EAST Fife Violet under 17s have just returned from a successful foray in the north of Scotland.
The girls stayed for two nights in Bridge of Don which proved to be a worthwhile mid-season break.
They trained on Saturday, played water polo in a deserted pool and experienced the delights of the Beach Fun Park before cooking an Italian meal.
Then in preparation for a seven-a-side tournament the following day, they had a quick Brazilian type football session on the beach.
They played four matches against top quality teams from the North League, including Aberdeen FC and Deveronvale, remaining unbeaten throughout.
They could have won the tournament had it not been for a last-minute equaliser in their last match against eventual winners, Buchan Ladies, which made the final score 2-2.
They then watched Cameroon play Scotland in a friendly international wirh Scotland winning 2-0.
The team were a credit to the club, themselves and Fife with excellent behaviour throughout, conceding only one foul during the whole tournament.
