Golf gets back into the swing in Kirkcaldy

There was an early start as golf got underway once again in Kirkcaldy this morning.

With first Minister Nicola Sturgeon giving the green light to let the sport start again as lockdown conditions begin to ease, Kirkcaldy Golf Club Match Secretary and Scottish Golf CEO Karin Sharp hit the first ball of the day at the club at 6am.

Karin said: “I couldn’t have asked for a better morning, perfect for a quick 10 holes before work.

“Thanks to greens staff, volunteers for getting us ready to play – the course was great – and to Captain Kev and Vice Captain Fraser for starter duties.

“To everyone playing today or next few days, enjoy your game – it was good to back out!”
