North east Fife will be well represented at this week’s 2015 Phoenix Cup Disabled Golf competition between Scotland and England.
The second GolferMag Phoenix Cup will take place at the Cardrona Golf Hotel from Monday to Wednesday, June 8-10.
The three-day Ryder Cup style competition will consist of the regular foursomes and fourball competitions and will be keenly fought over by disabled golfers from north and south of the border.
Four Fifers are part of the 12-man team, Trevor Crombie from Kirkcaldy, Bob Drysdale of Tayport, who is a member of Scotscraig Golf Club, Jim Gales of Springfield the founder of Scottish Disability Golf and Paul Shepherd of Tayport, who is the official coach of Team Scotland.
Jim said: “This will be a great chance to prove to everyone that having any kind of disability is never a barrier to playing golf.”
