Great reader offer - chance to win FREE golf lessons
Golf - played individually or as part of a group, is certainly a sport for all.
Regardless of age, gender or ability, there’s nothing stopping anybody picking up the clubs and heading out for either nine or 18 holes.
In north east Fife we’re spoiled for choice, with the area home to some of the finest courses in the world.
It’s not just the facilities that attract people to the sport, the health benefits associated with it are enormous.
As well as making friends, golf is a great way to stay healthy, with around 450 calories burned completing just nine holes.
If you’ve always watched the sport from the outside, wanting to get involved but thinking that ship had sailed - think again.
In partnership with the Fife Herald and St Andrews Citizen, the Largoward based St Andrews Golf Co. School of Golf is offering a relative novice, around the age of retirement or having retired already, the chance to take up the game and enjoy all the benefits it brings.
Across a six week period one lucky entrant will be coached from a beginner to a winner at the facility with their progress featured in our titles.
During the twelve 90 minute lessons some fundamentals of golf will be addressed:
To hit the ball with some degree of consistency.
To hit the ball as far as possible to make the game enjoyable.
To understand the pleasure that drives so many to play golf.
If you’d like to be considered for the coaching experience - please fill in the form included in this week’s Fife Herald and St Andrews Citizen and return to ‘Learn Golf Competition’, Fife Free Press, 23 Kirk Wynd, Kirkcaldy KY1 1EP by June 2.
