Haddies contest the Anniversary Cup competition

The Anster Haddies annual 4x400m relay competition took place on Wednesday at the University of St Andrews athletics track.

Five teams took part in the knockout competition with the Anniversary Cup being won by the team consisting of A Gibson, Jack Knox, Jill Balitrand and Ronan McKinstray.

Friday night was the June race of the Beveridge Park 5K Series.

Ronan McKinstray finished in 18.46, Fiona Cruickshanks 22.32 and was third female overall.

Parkrun as usual had it’s Haddie supporters.

At St Andrews, the times were A. Marr 20.54, D. Nuttall 25.59.

At Kirkcaldy T. Chalmers finished in 27.07.

Runners were also at the Glenrothes Road Running Festival is a great local event catering for all the family.

Colin McKie a speedy Junior Haddie, won the 4K race.

The 10K saw 417 runners take to the streets and cycle paths of Glenrothes.

Times were A. Marr 43.44, G. Findlay 44.02, J. Bailie 45.51, J. Hay 50.44, F. Cruickshanks 51.17, S. Penman 53.47, J. Galloway 56.57, A. Galloway 59.19, S. Chalmers 64.12.

Sandy Chalmers an amazing Octogenarian knocked over eight minutes of his time from last year earning him a PB.

Training this week is a recce of the Largo Law Race route ahead off Saturday’s race.
