Fife Flyers have made American centreman Ryan Dingle their first new import signing of the summer.
Ryan Dingle, who hails from Steamboat Springs, Colorado, has spent the last four season with Cortina in Italy, ending the 2014-15 season with 42 points from 34 games, including 23 goals and 19 assists.
Previously, the 31-year-old made almost 150 appearances in the American Hockey League, while he also played under former Fife Flyers coach Mark Morrison at Victoria Salmon Kings in the East Coast Hockey League in season 2010-11.
Dingle stated that he is looking forward to a new challenge in Fife, adding: “I am beyond excited to be a part of an organisation that has such rich tradition. I can’t wait to get there and get the season going.”
A Flyers spokesman added: “We worked hard as an organisation to make this deal happen.
“We are getting a great two way centre that is going to be looked upon to create offence for this club while being accountable in all three zones.
“He’s a goal-scoring centre and they are tough to find. He will be vital in our special teams and will be looked upon to play big minutes week in week out.”
