The platform, developed in partnership with Sports Holding Limited, a leading sports technology company, will allow fans of the Kirkcaldy-based club to connect to the Flyers through a state-of-the-art digital web app.

Once fans have signed up to the app, it will allow them to access the club shop online, order 50/50 tickets and watch Flyers TV.

As things develop into next season, there are plans to continually expand the app to include interactive features.

The new digital platform will also allow fans to make convenient purchases whenever they want, and their order will be delivered direct to their door – wherever in the world they may be.

Carol Johnstone, Fife Flyers Commercial Manager, said she was delighted with the launch.

“This has been a long and thorough process,” she said, “the app presents us with numerous opportunities to continue to strengthen the bond between our fans and the club.

"We have plans to add to the app, as and when our season gets underway.

“I am particularly pleased that we will now be able to provide an online service for our club shop.

"This is an extension to our current set up and allows merchandise to be readily available.

"We hope to provide fans with a continual renewal of merchandise, to suit all seasons, which we have never been able to do before.

“There will also be opportunities for fans to benefit from discounts on the app’s club shop and as we grow, we will expand into offering other fantastic offers, tailored to each fan.

“Keep a close eye on Fife Flyers’ social media channels over the next couple of weeks as we continue to bring exciting club developments for 2021.”

Eifion Weinzweig, Fife Flyers digital partner and founder of Sports Holdings, added: “We are excited to start working with a club that has such history and passion that the Fife Flyers fans have.

"As a company we understand the struggles that clubs are facing just now and are keen to support, ready for the return to competitive ice hockey in the UK.
