Fife Flyers put defenceman on Injury Reserve as former captain returns for rest of season

Jonas Emmerdahl has returned to the Kirkcaldy dressing-room as blue liner Noah Delmas is put on Injury Reserve (IR) list.
With Elite League rules stipulating that players put on IR must stay there for 90 days, it effectively marks the end of Delmas’ season with Flyers.

Emmerdahl steps back into a team rooted in last place in the league and one that has endured every possible piece of adversity this season.
The Swedish defenceman knows the club and league well after first icing with Fife in the 2019/20 season.
He returned post-lockdown and served as team captain for two seasons before departing at the end of the 2023-24 campaign. During his four seasons with the club Jonas made 229 appearances and tallied 63 points.

Flyers travel to Northern Ireland on Friday to take on Belfast Giants, with a home game on Sunday against Cardiff Devils.
