Chairman Ian Keddie is hoping to put together a comprehensive list of the achievements of all the clubs which play under the KIHC banner, but admits there are gaps.

“The club goes back to 1984 and we’ve got bits and pieces, but really, the only information we have clarified are titles and cups the club has won since 2002.

“That’s as far back as the Scottish Ice Hockey Associations records go.

“So what I’ve been doing over the last few weeks is speaking to people connected with the club just now to find out what things they can remember winning back in their own playing days.

“Most of our coaches came through our junior teams and can remember some things when they were playing in the 90s and coming up through the ranks, buy they don’t know a whole lot more before then.

“We do know that during the 90s the under-16 teams used tog go to Wembley to play a British Championship game against English opposition, and between 1991-97 won five of them, but what we really want to do is fill in the blanks of Scottish Cup and Scottish League wins of all the age teams and age groups.”

Ian is also hoping that some of the club’s trophies can be put on permanent display at Fife Ice Arena.

“Over the summer we’ve been doing up the dressing rooms at the rink and one of the ideas we had was to have an area where we could display our trophies.

“What will have happened over the years is that guys will have won things and maybe the captain has taken it home with him, or it has been handed around from player to player during the season – and it’s never made its way back to the club!

“So this is a second appeal – if you do happen to have one of those trophies, and that includes those we have won in recent times, and you would like to return it to the club so we can put it on display, then please contact us and we can arrange to have it collected.”

If you have any information or trophies contact Ian on [email protected].
