Bari McKenzie: Some times the tough decisions are the correct ones. As players and for fans, it sucks but, unfortunately, it was the correct decision going forward and I bet we aren’t the last league to do so. Stay safe everyone & @FifeFlyers fans I’ll see you all in August.

Jonas Emmerdahl: Saddened by the decision to suspend the @officialeihl season, but it is a logical one. I’ve only spent a year in British hockey, but quality of play, fans and staff impressed me a lot. Hope to see you again one day @FifeFlyers, stay safe everyone!

Carlo Finucci: Unfortunate news for the @EIHL today. Feel for the staff, coaches, players and fans associated with clubs around the league, especially the @FifeFlyers fans.

Lorna Johnstone: Just hope that, next season, everyone gets behind the team and FIA and pack the barn. Winter is just not going to be the same.

Lynne Fraser: Not good. Most teams have lost their imports, how are the foreign teams going to manage. Teams will fold.

Garry Lindsay: Anyone who thought the season may go ahead was just kidding themselves, club have no option other than cancel the season.

Rab Annan: The only decision they could make. While ice hockey is a big part of Kirkcaldy’s social and sporting life and will be missed, it will come back the following season in a stronger, safer position.

Lorraine Fairful: Oh well, will just have to find something else to do on a Saturday night. With no football either, what else will be next?

Chris McKeen: This is a very respectable thing to do, I for one applaud the decision. I am gutted there is no hockey this year but this will ultimately protect the club and its fans.

Colin Hickman: It’s not just Fife, it’s bad for ever ice hockey team.

Grant Rolland: I just hope that clubs can remain solvent throughout this shutdown.
