Judy returns and takes top prize

Despite being out for the best part of six months through injury, Falkland Trail Runner Judy Turner returned to action to finish first female at Sunday's Errol 6k race.

The returning athlete covered the course in a time of 25 minutes 22 seconds which also placed her 12th overall.

This will be the Falkland club stalwart’s last race for a few months as she is due to undertake surgery on her damaged knee.

FTR were also represented in he race by Bill Smith and club secretary Jim Close.

Some 14 club members were in action at the Alloa Half Marathon.

Harvey Rankin led the scurry of skwerlz home competing in his first half marathon finishing 63rd in 1 hr 20 mins 46secs.

He was followed home by.139 Brian Innes [1.24.54]. 299th Joey Johnston,[1.32.12]PB, 479th Alison Sutherland [1.37.15]. 701 Susanne Lumsden[1.42.11]PB, 736 Andy Janetta [1.42.29] , 774 David Dunleavey [1.44.02]. 943 Carole Mowbray [1.47.38]. 1012 Tony Gallagher [1.48.55], 1092 Zandra McCulloch [1.50.19], 1180 Leonard Zabek [1.52.26], 1476 Lynne Zabek [1.58.44]. 1660 Christine Wilson [2.03.47]. 1797 Emma Shanks [2.08.17].

St Andrews Parkrun celebrated its 200th race event with an amazing 312 runners turning out to celebrate the achivement.

Nine FTR competed with Keith Bonthrone leading the group home finishing 64th in 24.33 setting a PB.

Other finishers 65 Andy Harley [24.34]. 187 Alexandra Arnott [32.30]. 189 Lorna Thomson [32.42], 217 Dawn Fraser [34.29], 224 Annie Gibson [35.17], 249 Calum Beaton [38.41], and Ann Davidson [47.55].The honour of being first home in the landmark event went to Robert Sparks of Fife AC.

At Kirkcaldy Parkrun eight members were in action over the 5k two lap course with recent recruit Christie Ford securing first female place, 13th overall in [21.28]. recording a PB on the way.

Junior member Tyler Stevenson was 25th in [22.53], again setting a course PB.
