Three teams from outwith Perth, Team Fife from Glenrothes plus Kinross based teams Kintronics and Scotrange along with local sides Dodgy Spikers, Mental Eagles and new side SoVoBo were drawn in two sections of three with the top two teams facing each other in cross-over semi-finals.

Team Fife were drawn in section one along with Kintonics and Dodgy Spikers and the Fifers showed they meant business by first disposing of both. Spikers also defeated Kintronics to finish as section runners-up.

Kinross Scotrange, current holders of the cup, were drawn against Ian McGrath’s Mental Eagles and Steve Martin’s SoVoBo.

Scotrange won both of their games and the second place semi-final slot was a very close thing with SoVoBo scraping through 23-25; 25-15; 13-11.

Both semi-finals were closely contested with Team Fife needing a third set to seal their place in the final, winning 25-12; 23-25; 15-10.

In the final Team Fife stormed to a 9-3 lead which progressed to 16-7 before Scotrange finally got off their marks coming from 18-22 behind to win the next seven consecutive points to win the first set 25-22.

This knocked the stuffing out of the Fife side as their play became error ridden and Scotrange showed no mercy winning 25-14 keeping the silver cup in Kinross.
