John Dixon Park in Markinch will welcome hundreds of visitors this weekend as the town hosts the 2015 Highland Games.
The annual event will kick off in the park at 12.30 p.m. on Sunday, with the fun lasting until 6.00 p.m.
There will be the usual full range of traditional Highland Games events to entertain the crowds, including cycling, athletics and the heavy events.
There will also be the tartan events throughout the afternoon, including the oldest pipe band contest in the country, contests for solo pipers, and drum majors and Highland dancing.
Sunday’s games launches the Highland Games circuit in Fife, with others set to take place around the Kingdom in the coming weeks and months over the summer.
Organisers hope everyone in the community will come along and soak up the atmosphere at the very popular annual event.
There will be entertainment for the whole family taking place throughout the afternoon, including fun races for children of all ages, as well as for their parents, and there will also be a variety of stalls, side-shows, trade stalls and a funfair.
