FOOTBALLERS from Anstruther Primary have been celebrating after winning a big tournament.
The young up-and-coming players, who are all in primary six and seven at the East Neuk school, recently took part in the St Andrews Rotary Club competition.
A seven-a-side tournament, hosted by Canongate Primary school in St Andrews, the teams from local primary schools competed in matches in a knockout format.
Headteacher Robin Currie said: “The standard of football was very high in all the teams taking part and all the matches were closely fought.
“All the players showed good sportsmanship and everyone had a fantastic time. We look forward to defending our title next year.”
