Cupar and District Swimming Club held a bake sale during their swimming sessions last week, raising the impressive sum of £541.26 for this year’s Sport Relief campaign.
Parents and onlookers enjoyed a terrific spread of cakes and tray-bakes, which the swimmers also got to sample after ploughing up and down the pool.
The club’s younger swimmers each clocked up enough lengths to earn themselves much deserved distance badges and the older swimmers were put through their paces in a very competitive relay session.
The money will go towards Sport Relief projects in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest communities.
Sport Relief was held last week with groups and individuals raising cash across the UK.
