The East District Cross Country Championships took place at the popular Deans High School course in Livingston.
Fife AC athletes performed well across the age groups, with six outstanding individual medals and two team medals wrapping up a day to remember.
With the event doubling up as the trial for the Inter District Cross Country at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh on January 9, a handful of Fife AC runners can expect to be included in the team line up when it is released later this month.
Two of the club’s stand out performances on the daycame in the U20 women’s race, with Stephanie Pennycook and Annabel Simpson completing an excellent 1-2.
Anna Hedley was another one of the club’s junior girls to perform well at Livingston, with a superb run to win the U13 girl’s race 23 seconds ahead of her next rival in 12.07.
Anna was backed up by Fife AC team mate Anna Dalglish who finished in bronze medal position.
In the senior women’s race, Angela Richardson had the race of her life to finish in bronze medal position.
Along with team mates Megan Crawford just outside the medals in fifth and Halina Rees in 19th, Angela also won team silver.
The club’s top male performer of the day was Robert Sparks, who ran well to finish in bronze medal position in the U15 boys’ race.
Along with Craig Morris in 11th and Iain McWhinnie in 13th, Robert also took home team silver.

Fife AC are also preparing to hold hold the traditional Boxing Day Handicap Run at Craigtoun Park on December 26.
The event has a starting time of 2.30pm and has a bring a prize/win a prize structure.
All local runners are welcome to race over a choice of one mile or a two mile run.
Those wishing to take part in the event are asked to meet near to the play-park at north end of park.
