Glens stumbling toward the line

Glenrothes may still be favourites to win a step-up to the East Super League come the end of the season, but they are making heavy weather of their bid, reports MIKE DELANEY.

For the second match running, the Warout Stadium team had to come from two goals down to secure a point on Saturday, with a John Martin penalty and a Lee Duffy strike at Ballingry Rovers.

Manager Archie Wyse said: “We aren’t playing well, so we have to be happy with getting a point.”

Glens will bid to get back to winning ways at Carnoustie Panmure on Saturday.

Thornton Hibs - who look like dropping into the East Central League - lost by the only goal at Whitburn at the weekend, a match which saw three red cards, including the Memorial Park team’s Ross Morgan and Murray Carstairs.
