Kirkland High School have made history by coming fourth overall in Scotland at the Scottish Schools Championships for Floor and Vault Gymnastics.

The female pupils in S3-S6 made up the four strong team training weekly at their after school club, ran by volunteers from Enigma Gymnastics Club.

The training has clearly paid off as the youngsters’ performances on the day certainly demonstrated.

Amber Strachan S6, Ashley Cameron S5, Alex Rhinds S4 and Jordan Hogg S3 have taken Kirkland HS to new heights, the first time the school has placed so high in the Scottish Championships in the Level 2 Secondary category competing against schools from across the country at Bells Sports Centre in Perth.
