It’s a real marathon effort from the Anster Haddies

The weekend saw a large number of Anster Haddies take part in Alloa half marathon.

Dell Rae finished 12th overall in a time of 1hr 14mins 30secs, followed by Giles Harris (1hr 27mins 54secs) Mike Reilly (1hr 29mins 1secs) Ewan Lumsden (1hr 32mins 28secs) Titch Shaw (1hr 34mins 24secs) Jas Baillie (1hr 43mins 57secs) Jaz Hay (1hr 50mins 34secs) Yvonne Dehn (1hr 51mins 41secs - course pb).

Members also attended the St Andrews Parkrun 5k which was completed by Gordon Halliday 22mins 14secs, Jas Baillie 22mins 52secs and Carole Fraser 32mins 46secs

Bill Hutch took part in the Self Transendence 100K (62 miles) race in Perth.

He finished first MV60 after running 42 laps round South Inch Park in a time of 8 hours and 58 minutes. The race incorporated the British and Scottish Championships.

It is still to be confirmed by officials but it would appear that Bill has set a Scottish record for the event in his age category.
