Glenrothes swimmer, Mark Szaranek, turned in a superb series of performances at the British Olympic Trials.
The Carnegie Swimming Club member recorded personal best times in all the events he entered, including the 50 metre and 100m freestyle, 100 butterfly, and 200m and 400m individual medley.
His times for the 100 free and butterfly put him top of the British rankings for his ag group and he finished just 0.08 seconds outside the record.
The 16 year-old also broke the Scottish record on his way to the 200m individual medley semi-final.
He was among four club members who travelled to the brand new London Aquatics Centre for the event, where they got close-up views of swimming superstars like Rebecca Addlington.
The finals were televised in what was seen as a ‘dry run’ for the venue ahead of the summer games.
