A TALENTED young footballer from Buckhaven has completed a dream move to Celtic.
Michael Cunningham, aged 10, was snapped up by the Glasgow giants after impressing scouts while playing for Raith Rovers under-12s’ side.
The P6 pupil at Denbeath Primary School signed his contract on Friday night in Glasgow, with his mum Lynn Cunningham saying both she and his dad were “really proud of his achievement”.
Michael played with East Fife Juniors for around a year before moving to Raith Rovers, who will receive a training fee for him.
Rovers’ youth academy director Jimmy Lindsay wished Michael well, adding he has high hopes for him: “I’ve worked with a lot of talented kids and Michael is right up there.
“He’s a good listener, works hard, and his parents are good people who will give him every opportunity to progress.”
