Paul runs up victory in Carnegie ‘three-miler’

Markinch athlete, Paul Roarty, was the convincing winner of Carnegie’s Three Mile Time Trial which was held last Thursday evening.

Paul clocked an impressive 16.08 in very cold, but dry conditions.

Elsewhere, at the inaugural Pitreavie Gift meeting, John Thomson, Coaltown of Balgonie ran a good race to finish runner up in the 1600 metres Handicap.

Glenrothes sprinter Billy Martin got to the cross-ties stage of the 100m handicap, but failed to win through to the final.

Dylan Lindsay, Glenrothes, contested both the youths 90 and 150m handicaps, but was eliminated from both in his heat.
