Plenty of racing at Cowdenbeath

AT Cowdenbeath Racewall the saloons first race was another leg for the white/yellow challenge series with Aaryn Triggs getting the win from Kyle Irvine and David Hughes.

Heat one saw Barry Russell go through to win narrowly from Ross Watters and Hughes. In heat two it was Hughes who took the win leading home Glen Heeps and Stevie Honeyman. In the final Stuart Shevill Jnr was first home but was penalised, handing the win to Gordon Alexander who was ahead of Ian McLaughlin with Shevill Jnr relegated to third.

Heat one of the prostox saw Ricky White go through to win from Ian Taylor and James Moore. Moore won heat two from Kai McNulty and Stevie Allan. White came through to win the final leading home Grant Weston and Kevin Morrison.

In the lighning rods Chrissy Dearn went through to win the opening heat from Barry Nelson and John Sibbald. Dearn came out on top in heat two leading home Nelson and Gary Nicholls. Nelson won the final from Sibbald and Alex Rogan.

In the GP midgets, heat one saw Steve Young win all three races and in the junior bangers Jordan Cassie won heats one and two. However the final went to Sean Riddell.

Meanwhile at Northampton on Sunday Gordon Moodie went through to win the European Championship. Chris Burgoyne finished seventh.
