PITTENWEEM Rovers played host to Fife Thistle in their final group game of the Tom McIntyre Cup.

Pittenweem had already qualified for the quarter-finals but they were determined to finish off the section with a 100 per cent record.

Pittenweem took the lead with 20 minutes played when David Wilson put in a low cross for Callum Roberts to slot the ball home from close range.

Rovers got their second goal just past the half-hour mark.

Alex Bowman received the ball on the right and crossed for James Ketchen to side-foot home from six yards.

The second half started in the same manner as the first, with Pittenweem in the ascendancy.

The visitors were defending bravely but finding it difficult to get out of their own half, and it was no real surprise when Rovers scored a third goal after 18 minutes through Jimmy Hughes.

Pittenweem grabbed their fourth just three minutes later when Craig Cameron (pictured front, in stripes) took the ball into the box and round the ‘keeper.

Goal number five came just a minute later, with Gary Wishart flicking the ball on for Cameron, who shot home from a few yards inside the box.

With the game entering the last five minutes, Pittenweem scored again when Darren Davidson won a header on the halfway line and a good move involving Gary Wishart and Bowman ended with Bowman crossing to Cameron, who laid the ball off for Marc Cameron to smash it into the net from 16 yards.

With the last move of the game, Rovers scored their seventh when Craig Cameron squared the ball across goal for Gary Wishart to shoot low into the net from around 10 yards.
