LEUCHARS/Dundee Youth Bowling Club held its presentation of prizes at Strikers Bowl, RAF Leuchars.
Only one point separated the first two places.
Julie Carr finished first, with Laura Murphy second and Calley Reilly third.
Further prizes were awarded as follows: Most improved bowler – Stephen Doherty, high average – Laurence Ferguson and Julie Carr; high series handicap – Stephen Doherty and Julie Carr; high game – Thomas Murphy and Victoria Doherty.
The bowlers also participated in the Scottish Doubles in Glasgow and medals were awarded as follows: Under 19 girls – Julie Carr and Laura Murphy, first scratch; Danielle Carr and Victoria Doherty, second handicap; under 16 boys – Thomas Murphy and Stephen Doherty, third handicap; under 12 boys – Keenan Carr and Rachael, second scratch.
Four of the girls, Laura and Danielle (under 19) and Julie and Calley (under 16) have made the Scottish Association Youth Bowling Clubs (SAYBC) Triple Crown Team to be held in Wales in August 2012.
The club would also like to thanks Flt Lt Richard Crouch, Officer in Charge of Strikers Bowl, RAF Leuchars for all his assistance and for the use of the facilities at RAF Leuchars.
