On the oche for world title chance

Levenmouth darts player Jamie Clark is preparing for another crack at mixing it with the best in the world.

Clark, based at the Brig, will begin his quest to qualify for the World Championship finals when he takes part in a qualifying event at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green.

And he’ll go into the qualifiers in form, recently reaching the last 32 of the British Open, only losing out 4-3 to Scott Waites, the BDO world champion.

Clark is not the only local darts player to be heading into some tough competition.

On the same day, the Empire’s Lewis McMahom will take part in the Winmau World Youth Masters.

His team mate Chelsea McMahon will play in the Ladies Winmau World Masters from December 1 to 4.
