Former Scottish Amateur champion John Gallagher was a shot further back on 65.

Although Kelly had the better last six holes, Tait qualifies for the Dumbarnie Grand Final on Sunday as John is on a family engagement that weekend.

The eight finalists, made up from five pros and three amateurs are Tom Higson, Jamie McLeary, Craig Lawrie, John Gallagher, Blair Morton, Alan Tulleth, Ryan Campbell, Alan Tait.

McLeary has a long term association with Leven Golfing Society while Alan Tulleth, as well as being an accomplished golfer, has also played junior football across Fife.

Winner Tait said: “I’m absolutely delighted. It’s a shame John Kelly can’t make the Dumbarnie Links final as he has been a great supporter of the Get Back to Golf Tour, having played in all of them bar one. I’m not complaining though and more than happy to take his spot.”
