Conditions last weekend were dreadful across the board, but ‘Burgh managed to scrape together a 3-2 win away from home at Bo’ness.

It wasn’t pretty on the eye at times, but boss Hudson says that’s just fine by him, as long as the team gets the points on the board.

He said: “We lost out to a late goal at Bo’ness two weeks ago so it was nice to be able to turn the fortunes around.

“We kept going right to the end of the game and our persistence paid off.

“The whole team played well today in awful conditions that were not conducive to free flowing football.

“It was a real slog at times and I am delighted that we managed to come out on top.”

Newburgh are once again away from home on Saturday with a trip to West Calder who currently prop up the league and haven’t won this season.

Kick off is at 2.30pm at Hermand Park.
