To add a bit of interest to the afternoon, the club staged a progressive game, which saw the winning skips and leads progress separately to play with different partners in each game.

After three games of six ends, the winning skip was Bobby Gillon and the winning lead was Gill Smith.

Everyone enjoyed the game, which was followed by the weekly ‘draw to the box of chocolates’, which was won by Bobby Gillon.

Last week’s winner was Ellen Kelly, one of Cupar’s new members.

Cupar is still managing to keep hat nights going – although by the end of 12 ends, darkness is creeping in.

It’s hoped that play will be able to continue with the last game of the season, the Treasurer v Secretary, to be played on Saturday, September 26.
