David is matchplay champion after final green drama

David Urch is the 2020 matchplay club champion of the XIXth Hole Golf Club of St Andrews.

David Urch is the 2020 matchplay club champion of the XIXth Hole Golf Club of St Andrews.

In the 18-hole final over the Old Course he recorded a narrow one hole victory over Gordon Moir on the final green.

Earlier in the semi-finals, Moir narrowly defeated the defending champion, Scott Finlay, while Urch was successful against Bob Edie. Both ties were close run affairs.
