Kathopouli was hoping to build on the momentum she started to generate at the start of 2020 when she beat highly regarded Irish fighter Siobhan O’Leary at the Gilvenbank to take her record as a pro to four wins and one loss from five fights.

‘Efty’ is currently ranked seventh in the super featherweight Commonwealth rankings .

Emma, from Lochgelly, boasts a record of two wins and one loss from her opening three fights and tops the minumumweight division.

In her last fight she managed to negotiate a points win over experienced Italian Claudia Ferenczi. Of the two, coach Stevie McGuire said: “We will be looking at titles in 2021.”
