Kirkcaldy-based boxing club offers life membership to NHS heroes

Kingdom Boxing Club, based at Seaforth Place, is offering all doctors, nurses and NHS staff a free lifetime membership, allowing for use of its strength and conditioning suite, boxing classes and other member benefits.

Club secretary George Forrester said: “One of our own coaches works in the Victoria Hospital and has been isolated from her five-year-old daughter, who is being looked after by other family members, for over two weeks. 

“We are indebted to all those NHS workers who have to sacrifice their family life and who risk contracting this virus every time they go to work and this is a small gesture to let them know that they are very much appreciated.

“When we get through these unprecedented times and back to some sort of normality any NHS staff who would like to come train with us at boxing classes and/or use the ground floor gym can do so as a way of thanking them for the fantastic care they are providing.”
