The cars used are Kas which have all the glass removed and a few devices installed for safety purposes.

Jordan, who is autistic, has been going to the racing for nearly all of his life and, with a bit of help started to build a car which he raced in 2019.

Over the winter he started to build another car which he had ready in time for the practice sessions in March.

He took full use of the practice sessions as he tried to get used to the car and its peculiarities.

At the first meeting of the season in March he arrived with the car sign written and ready for action but struggled with the car and didn’t figure in the results.

When the closed door sessions were announced he was one of the drivers who chose to race.

At the first meeting he picked up mid order results in the heats but was spun during the final and didn’t finish the race.

He was back out for the allcomers race where he was quickly through into second place.

Although the leader was clear, Jordan didn’t give up on the chase and even when his father Graeme closed up he maintained a good line to bring his car home in second place.

However, at the second of these meetings he was involved in a shunt and was unable to repair the damage to the car in the pits and didn’t reappear.

”I learnt a lot about the car during the practice sessions,” Jordan said.

”I felt that there were a lot of positives about the way my car ran car and that I was on the pace.

“I am really looking forward to the start to the new season.”

The Racewall season was able to resume in the summer but, due to safety guidance, none of the meetings were able to allow spectators in to watch.

Organisers hope to be able to welcome race fans back at some point when the new season begins.
