The tour’s format allows competitors a period of just over a week to complete their round and hand their scorecard to organisers.

Tulleth, who has caddied at St Andrews and for current tour pro David Law, came out on top by one shot after a brilliant five under par 65 from fellow amateur Joe Bryce and professional John Kelly.

John scored had the first hole in one on the Get Back to Golf Tour at the par three seventh.

Greg Paterson who finished fourth, forgot his three wedges, making his most lofted club a nine iron so did excellently to shoot a three under 67.

Event winner Tulleth said: “The Get Back to Golf Tour has been fantastic.

“The opportunity to play some great courses in Scotland every week against good fields has been excellent.

“Arbroath was in great condition and the greens were very good.

“It was actually the first time I had played it and really enjoyed the layout of the course with lots of different shots needed.
