Gordon McDougall Promotions have announced their fixture list for the 2021 season and are keen for fans to join in the celebrations after the second half of last year saw racing held behind closed doors.

Race manager Dave Borthwick confirmed that practice sessions will begin in May ahead of the campaign getting into gear.

He said: “We are hoping that the 40th season of GMP will see the first meeting taking place on May 22 and, after that, as full a season’s racing as is possible.

"Depending on the number of spectators allowed, we may try live streaming, although that could depend on how many fans would be interested.

"We will have to wait for the first minister’s decision and we might have to run a few closed door events.”

The formula II drivers will be looking forward to June 26/27 when they share a double header with the Crimond Raceway.

Both tracks will stage World Championship qualifying rounds but, at Crimond, the formula II challenge is up for grabs whilst, on the Sunday, drivers have the Scottish Championship at stake.

The season comes to an end over the last weekend of October with the running of the Champion of Champions.

There are also numerous other trophy meetings that will be up for grabs including a new one – the Jim Clark trophy.

A full list of the meetings, and dates, are available now at www.racewall.co.uk
