Support needed for sporting petition

An administrator from a sports club in Fife is seeking support for a petition submitted to the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to establish an independent sports ombudsman.

The petition is based on a report by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson and seeks to protect all individuals in all sports from wrong or ill-informed actions.

The report entitled ‘Duty of Care in Sport’ was published in 2017 as part of the Sporting Future strategy.
