As the autumn begins to settle in, the club’s members have remained keen to get as much action under their belts as they can.

Akira O’Connor, Tessa Davies, Claire Doak, Tracey Millar and Peter Rieu-Clarke all set personal bests at local parkruns.

Mark McLean, Terry Cullen and John Kay hit the double by achieving the very difficult feat of setting personal bests in two consecutive weeks.

Leven Las Vegas members also travelled to other events with Karen Capewell, Tessa Davies and Becky Oakenfull taking part in the Loch Ness 10k, Tricia Wallace and Scott Houston also in Inverness for the Loch Ness Marathon and Davie Hogg, Akira O’Connor, Tracey Millar, Bryan McLaren, Iain Wallace, and Michael Rayden heading off east to Anstruther for the East Neuk 10k.

The club’s Jennet Getty completed the Trossachs 10k at Aberfoyle, an annual run in aid of the Rainbow Valley charity.

Last weekend saw eight LLV; Terry Cullen, Matt Holden, Jim Aiton, Grant Stevenson, Davie Hogg, Robin Pate, Jen Humphreys and Esme Anderson, running the streets of Glasgow in the ever-popular Great Scottish Run Half Marathon.

A clubs spokesman told the East Fife Mail: “The event proved especially popular with Jim Aiton who set a personal best for the distance by over five minutes.”
