Runners enjoy anniversary race

Falkland Trail Runners were in action at the 50th anniversary of the Grangemouth Round The Houses 10k.

Weather conditions were perfect for the 900 runners with Brian Innes leading the scurry of Skwerlz home finishing in 37 mins 59 secs followed by Zoey Johnston[41,52], Alison Sutherland,[43.30], Carole Mowbray,[46.54], Tony Gallagher,[49.10], Jim Close,[51.11], Alan Sheret[54.05] and John Lee[62.31].

Tony and Angela Taylor competed in the Glenlivet 10k.

FTR members contested the Winton 10k Trail Race near Pencaitland with Sharon Parkin finishing in 1hr 06 mins 33 secs and Elaine and Calum Beaton crossing the line together in 1:23:30.

Kirkcaldy Parkrun saw three club members set personal bests over the two lap course. Louise Lessells was 29th & 3rdf [23.09], Lyndsay Mackay 30th & 4thf [23.11], Andy Harley 39th, [24.20], Susan Harley was 52nd & 12th [25.54] and Bill Gillan 53rd,[25.58].

Annie Gibson competed in her first Perth 5k parkrun recording a PB, finishing 111th in 29 mins 06 secs.

At St Andrews 5k Parkrun, Brian Cruickshank completed the three lap course to finish fifth (first over 50) in 18 mins 42 secs.

Tony Martin finished eigth (first over 60) [19.35].

Colin Smith finished 18th, [21.36] and Keith Bonthrone 79th,[25.49].

Malcolm McTavish ran the parkrun at Torrens Lake Weir near North Adelaide.
