Runners have to tackle the mud

Dark and sticky mud were was on the minds of 853 runners taking part in the annual 5k and 15k races at Devilla Forest on Sunday morning.

Ten Leven Las Vegas runners took part in the events.

Allen Marr had an excellent 5k run finishing 15th in a field of 153 and coming away with a win in his age category.

Saturday morning saw the second anniversary of the first Kirkcaldy 5k parkrun and 212 runners turned out to take part and join in the celebrations.

With 20 LLV taking part in this and the St Andrews parkruns it was also celebration time for LLV’s Bryan McLaren and Dougie Clews who set personal bests. After winning the LLV Caley Cup earlier in the week, Karen Richards chose the day to take part in her first ever parkrun with a debut at Kirkcaldy.
