As the season draws towards an end, a few hardy East Fife Tri-Club members have participated in some of the closing events of the summer.
One of the favourites in the calendar is Craggy Island Triathlon, which takes place from Oban, starting on the mainland and swimming to the Isle of Kerrera where the mountain bike course and hill run take place.
On the Saturday race, Andrew Hood, his father Alistair Hood and Aaron Anderson all raced.
Andrew came in first in a time of 1:27, Alistair followed in 1:47, and Aaron finished in 2:01.
Jane Staal competed as part of a relay team which completed in 1:57.
Tracey McFee took part in the Sunday race and finished in 3:00.
She then followed her achievements in Oban with a challenging race in Glen Clova at the ‘Xtreme Duathlon’.
A 27 km bike course precedes a 14km hill run which takes in two Munros, and then a final 6km sprint on the bike brings competitors to the finish line.
Tracey’s provisional time was 4:46.
Cris Wilson also put in a superb performance at the Crathes Half Marathon near Banchory.
Seeing consistent improvements, she achieved a convincing new PB, completing in 1:50:46.
