St Andrews athletes excelled as a thousand junior athletes contested the Scottish Primary Schools Cross-Country Championships at Kirkcaldy High School.

With such large numbers each primary age group was split into two races with medals awarded for each race.

Having won the P6 girls (schools M-Z) title last year Anna Hedley representing Strathkinness Primary dominated the p7 race completing the one mile course in six minutes 02 seconds, eighteen seconds clear of Anya MacLean (High School of Glasgow).
