FIFE Flyers must rediscover their winning form this weekend - or face tumbling back to the bottom of the Elite League.

After winning six of their opening eight games, Flyers have lost six-in-a-row to slide to second bottom - just a point ahead of Edinburgh Capitals, who visit Fife Ice Arena on Saturday.

Flyers then travel to Hull on Sunday and with both games counting towards the Gardiner Conference, player-coach Todd Dutiaume knows his team needs two positive results.

“It’s a big weekend for us - as it is for the teams we’ll be facing,” he said.

“Edinburgh were scorched 10-0 down in Nottingham in midweek, and will be coming here looking to save face.

“It’s a game we need to win – we don’t want to end up back in the position we had for the whole of last season.

“We then go back down to Hull on Sunday for the second weekend in a row.

“I felt we played well down there last Saturday but just couldn’t bring it home.

“I’ll be looking for this weekend to be the one where we start to turn things around.”
