Team win caps off exciting tour
Connor Syme's spell in South Africa ended in glory when he helped his national team mates to a win in the 8th International Triangular match against their hosts.
At Houghton Golf Club, Johannesburg, the Scots eased to success over the South African Golf Association’s Junior Team and the South African Golf Development Board (SAGDB).
They racked up 20.5 points in the matchplay ties, winning 10 – 2 and 10.5 – 1.5 overall from the foursomes and singles ties.
The Scots started the three-way competition after a victory in the Team Competition at the African Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Leopard Creek, in which Drumoig’s Syme finished second individually.
