Windygates ace takes second prize in Glencoe

The Leslie Bike Shop / Bikers Boutique Downhill Team headed north to Glencoe at the weekend for round three of the Scottish Downhill Series.

The compeititve race was held on the legendary black run, which is one of the steepest and most technical tracks on the circuit.

The Kingdom team again demonstrated why they are fast becoming the most professional, amateur team in the country with Deborah Primrose maintaining her fine form taking the win in Senior women.

Windygates rider Téa Jensen rode smoothly to take a great second in the junior women.

The junior and expert categories saw Glenrothes rider Robbie Dunlop and Dunfermline’s Kris Gemmell take respective third places.

The weekend was not to end well for the team however as their youngest rider Ryan Brannen suffered a terrible crash which saw him being airlifted to Glasgow as a result of his injuries.

Téa Jensen heads north again this weekend to compete in the MiniDH finals at the UCI World Cup.

Téa, whose sister Hope is also a prolific mountain bike ride, is hoping to take the U16 girls title after finishing second the last two years in the U14 category.
